Holiday Vinyl On Glass Blocks

This is one of the cheapest and easiest Christmas decor projects! And it's cute!

All you need is:
1) Glass block(s) from a Home Improvement store - I got mine at Home Depot for less than $5.00 each.

2) Ribbon from any craft or ribbon store - I got mine at "Ribbons & Lace" here in Mesa, AZ. The ribbon seen below is not actually what I used - because I needed something wider. Ribbons & Lace has a Holiday Ribbon section with lots of ribbon wide enough for this project.

3) Holiday vinyl to rub on the glass block. You can get that from us. It's also very cheap - LESS THAN $5.00 A PIECE INCLUDING SHIPPING!

Step #1: With the vinyl, peel off the waxy paper backing, and make sure the vinyl is stuck to the transfer tape.

Step #2: Apply the tranfer tape to the glass block. Make sure to position it in the center and then rub the tranfer tape back and forth a few times.

Step #3: Carefully remove the transfer tape at a 45-degree angle.

Repeat with the overlay if  you purchase a piece that comes as a 2-color overlay (the star that dots the i below is gold).

Step #4: Tie your ribbon around the glass block and just play with it until you like the way it looks.

See, it couldn't be any easier! Mine are going to be great fillers for the cubbies on my entertainment center. I want everything in it to be Christmas-y!

You can also decorate with vinyl words on glass block. It doesn't have to be just a Christmas decoration. Order your favorite quote by clicking here for vinyl customized by you.
